Event Description

During this course with Rachel Moore from iprintedthat you will explore pattern design using two different printing techniques, creating a sample piece of wallpaper using linocut to produce a repeat pattern and overlay several colours as well as screen printing patterns.

It is possible to attend either session as a stand alone session, if you would to book this please contact the museum on 01634 789347.

Both workshops includes all materials, lunch and refreshments. Booking is essential, please visit our website for more details

Rachel was inspired by James Leman, an 18th century Huguenot silk weaver and pattern designer, whose designs were adapted to adorn our building. His incredible skill both as a designer and a manufacturer of bold, bizarre patterns are what drew Rachel to these designs. Rachel first came across James Leman at a talk by V&A curator, Olivia Horsfall-Turner, here at the museum, about the extraordinary Leman Album.
